How to Wash Your Hands -Covid 19

One of the best ways to protect yourself from getting the virus is by washing your hands. There are important steps in washing hands to make sure we do it correctly. Click here to make sure you know how to clean your hands correctly.

After you read the poster, do the exercises below.


Exercise 1


COVID-19: How to wash your hands

Write the numbers 1-11 on a piece of paper. Read each instruction 1-11. Find a picture to match the instruction. Write the letter beside the number.

1. Wet hands with warm water.

2. Apply soap.

3. Lather soap and rub hands palm to palm.

4. Rub in between and around fingers.

5. Rub back of each hand with palm of other hand.

6. Rub fingertips of each hand in opposite palm.

7. Rub each thumb clasped in opposite hand.

8. Rinse thoroughly under running water.

9. Pat hands dry with paper towel.

10. Turn off water using paper towel.

11. Your hands are now clean.

Check your answers by looking at the poster again.


Exercise 2


Number each instruction to tell the correct order for washing your hands. Step 1 and step 2 are done for you.


___ Rub in between and around fingers.
